Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Converter
The little brother of the legendary 300 SL gull-wing car quickly developed into the dream car of the 50s. The
Mercedes 190 SL founded the Roadster tradition of the Stuttgart marquee, for it had already been launched in
New York as a genuine open-air sports car with folding soft top. However, the 190 SL did not claim to be a racing
sports car. On the contrary, the product developers at Mercedes-Benz saw it as an elegant, fast touring car
which can be driven, even as an everyday car, as one of the most successful vehicles in motoring history.
